A luxurious tour from Yogyakarta to Bali

Day 1: Yogyakarta - Malang

A travel day. To get from Central to East Java is quite a distance and we will use this day to pass the miles. Your driver has picked up your luggage the day before (he also brings the train tickets). You and your guide get on the train to the East of Java. In Malang the driver/car is waiting at the train station. we drive you straight to the hotel.

Day 2: Malang

In the morning you can enjoy a Malang city & surroundings tour and choose your own transportation. Can be done by car, cycling or a combination car and on foot. The city itself is explored by car however Malang has some great nature close by and nature is best discovered cycling or on foot. The afternoon will be for leisure.

Day 3: Malang - Kalibaru

Today we visit Bromo this can be done at sun rise then departure is 1AM or at a later time (you then miss the sun rise but it will be less crowded at Bromo). At the discussed time we depart from the hotel. When on the sunrise tour we first drive to the viewpoint of Mount Penanjakan to await the sunrise from the viewpoint or at a close by cafe enjoying a coffee. Once the sun has risen we drive you by jeep to visit the black Sea of Sand and Mt Bromo. After parking near Mt. Bromo (this is where you start if without sun rise), it is a 45 minutes walk to his crater rim. Once you reach the rim of the caldera, you can explore the area a bit or rest and enjoy the view. Back at the car we have one more amazing stop in this area; the contrasting green savanna then we continue to Kalibaru.

Day 4: Kalibaru - Ketapang

After breakfast we drive you to a plantation in the area. Here you can see how local products i.e. coffee, cacao, rubber, Gula Jawa (Javanese sugar), pepper are produced and used. After a guided tour we proceed to Ketapang. The rest of the day is free for leisure.

Overnight: Ketapang Indah

Day 5: Ketapang

Again we offer a choice today you can explore Ijen (Blue fire or day break start), mountain bike or have a snorkel tour.

Day 6: Ketapang - Bali

We can add an Ijen tour on this morning. A jeep and local English speaking guide will come and pick you up and drive you to Paltuding. From here you walk up the steep hill of Ijen until you've reached the crater rim. Enjoy this beautiful natural phenomena and walk back when you're ready. The car is ready at the hotel and drives you via Ketapang harbor to your next destination.
