Your local English Speaking guide will pickyou up from your hotel by public transpot you'll discover Jakarta and travel to Indonesia's National Monument on Merdeka (= freedom/liberty) square. The monument is located in the midst of a center point for all city traffic but surrounded by a big spacious park. From the entrance of the park you walk to the phoenix and you enter the monument.
We walk straight to the entrance to the view point in the top of the phoenix (the puncak). You pass the museum but we keep that till last as the que to the puncak is often times longer in if you arrive a bit too late. From the viewpoint you have great views over the city. Your guide explains the importance of some of the buildings that are explained. When finished you return to the museum and together with your guide you walk passed the puppet displays that explains ' the Indonesian road' to Independence. It is a historic overview. Once you've seen it all we take you for a nice lunch close to Monas after lunch your guide takes you back to the hotel. Or you are free to discover the the city at own account.
