The route starts at Tugu square. A large roundabout with a monument in the middle. Around the traffic square there are some beautiful colonial public buildings, such as the town hall and the train station. Then you walk along the bridge sungai Brantas to the Chinese Eng An Kiong temple. You walk to the busy Pasar Besar: the big market. A nice museum house near the market is Museum Bentoel, the home of a former cigarette manufacturer. A little further is the lawn that used to form the town square of Malang. Around this alun-alun is all traffic crowded, but the center of the old city is also surrounded by a large number of beautiful and special buildings. There are colonial buildings and the Pelangi Hotel. The mosque and the protestant church are brotherly side by side. The Indonesians love the Sarinah department store, who knows, maybe you'll see something nice here. Great to take a break at Toko Oen, which has been serving ice cream, cookies, cakes and savory snacks since grandmother's time. The furniture is also from earlier times. Opposite Toko Oen is a Catholic church. Your car is on parking at Toko Oen.
