Day 1: Jakarta

Today, you will meet your Tour Leader (TL) at the hotel for a briefing about your trip program tomorrow. Your TL will explain the details of your tour and you can also ask for the information you need to your TL.

Overnight: Ibis Tamarin

Day 2: Jakarta Explore

Today you will start from your hotel to Fatahillah Square by public transport (transjakarta). You can visit the old city area and walk arround to see old building. After that walk to Sunda Kelapa Harbor via Pasar Ikan (the one of traditional market in jakarta) to see how indonesian people make a transaction. In the evening back to hotel by public tranportasion (transjakarta).

Day 3: Jakarta-Bogor-Sukabumi

In the morning, walk to Sarinah Station to go to Bogor by train. You will transfer to Sukabumi with another train but you have to wait for 3 hours. You can walk arround while you waiting your train. When your train arrived, direct to Sukabumi, you will arrive at 15.30 pm and direct to your hotel (take your break or walking arround your hotel).

Day 4: Sukabumi-Gunung Padang-Bandung

After a long night, you will go to gunung padang by train. In there you can explore "Gunung Padang". "Gunung Padang" is a megalith site where there are archaeological excavations to trace the story of this place. he story goes that the Sultan of Yogyakarta (politically a powerful man) withholds funding for thorough research because possible finds will show that Yogyakarta has less histirical value than previously thought. After visiting "Gunung Padang" you will go to Hotel in Bandung by private car.

Day 5: Bandung Walk

In the morning, you will go to Braga street on foot. Braga street is the one of popular street in Bandung, you will see old building in there. Don't forget to take many picture in there. After passing Braga street through to Merdeka street and you can find Bandung City Hall (Balaikota Bandung), Bethel church, and Bank Indonesia building which is one of the old buildings in Bandung. Walk along to go to "Gedung Sate", one of city icons of Bandung. In the end, back to hotel by public transportation.

Day 6: Bandung-Kawah Putih-Malabar

Today you will explore "kawah putih" by private car. At Kawah Putih you go to the lake by public transport from parking area. Kawah Putih is a turquoise, green and blue colored crater from the volcano 'Patuha', a beautiful lake where you can take a walk around the lake (it is not possible to walk all the way around) The bus is waiting in the parking lot and via a strawberry farm where you pick your own strawberries for a refreshing gravy, and a bamboo factory you will arrive in Malabar. On the way to Malabar sometimes gives beautiful photo moments where tea plantations and strawberry farms. The Malabar Estate has grown a lot under the direction of Mr. Bosscha, a name that you will encounter a lot in this area. Arrived in Malabar, a delicious Indonesian meal is served in the former living room of the plantation manager.

Day 7: Malabar-Papandayan

In the early morning you start a walk through this beautiful area. Tea plants as far as the eye can see, friendly smiling tea pickers in route and giggling children who want to be photographed with you. You end up at the home of a local family and here you are offered an Indonesian lunch, after which you drive to the overnight place at the foot of Papandayan.

Pay attention! a local Indonesian house has a squat toilet and a 'bak mandi' in the bathroom. There is no running water and only cold water. A bath bin is a large tiled bin with water in it and a plastic scoop bin. With this you wash yourself (scoop water over your body, soap in and scoop water over you again to rinse. You also use the water from the bin to flush the toilet. DO NOT throw toilet paper in the toilet.

Day 8: Papandayan Sunrise

A very special Indonesian experience today! The first call for prayer will also be your alarm clock (4.00 AM) You get up, get a breakfast (for most people in here this is a normal hour to get up). Next the motorcycle takes you to the parking. From here it is a walk of about 30 minutes to the Papandayan. Visiting Papandayan will shows a volcano in 'full glory' with all colors, smells and devastation and all this very close. Back in the parking lot, the car takes you back to the house for a nice lunch. After the lunch you decide what you want in consultation with your Tour Leader. Another walk to a real traditional Indonesian village through beautiful rice fields, mostly built in terraces (around 2 hours) or rest in house.

Day 9: Papandayan-Yogyakarta

The car takes you to the station in Cipenduey and you will go to Yogyakarta by train. When you arrive in Yogyakarta, free program.

Day 10: Yogyakarta

Free program. (You can visit Borobudur, Prambanan, and Merapi for your option)

Day 11: Yogyakarta-Village Solo

Today you will go to solo by tain. After you arrive in Solo, the private car will takes you to the village. Free program

Day 11: Village Explore

Today will be unforgettable experience. You will get many activities in this village. You can take a cooking curse with local people. You can walk arround to see how indonesian's people lives or another activities.

From the village you go to Solo City by public transport. Today, you will get a Solo City Tour.

Day 14: Solo-Bromo

In the morning you will go to Probolinggo by train. After you arrive in probolinggo direct to Bromo by public transportation. You will arrive in the evening, take a break and enjoy the beautiful sunset from the hotel.

Day 15: Bromo-Bondowoso

In the early morning, you change to a jeep and takes you to the viewpoint for the spectacle of the sunrise over Bromo and Semeru. When the sun is up, we drive you to Bromo, from walk to the foot of the Bromo or walk with horses (which are offered for rent on site), a climb on a staircase with 243 steps separates you from 'the Caldera', the crater mouth and beautiful views of the vast area. Find the jeep and drive you back to the hotel and direct to Probolinggo Station by public transportation. In here you will change to train to go to Kalisat, from Kalisat station go to hotel by public transportation.

Day 16: Bondowoso-Sanur

In the night (departure is 0.30 am) the car and english spaking guide are ready to take you to Ijen. It is down hill but the road is very bad. It is still dark when you reach the parking lot at the foot of the volcano. Here your guide helps you pay the entrance fees and then you start the walk. It is still very dark. To see the so-called Bluefire at Ijenkratermeer (you can only admire Bluefire at 2 volcanoes in the world) you first have to climb Ijen. A tough walk with steep parts (3.5 km). An average fit person takes about 2-2.5 hours. Ijen Blue fire can be seen from far and it is a spectacular sight. You can make the descent to the sulfur mines. Beware sulfer is not pleasant to breathe. And don't get in the way of the miners too much! After the visit to the sulfur mines you walk back up again (so that is another climb up) and then you can experience from the high point how the light has become and the landscape suddenly changes. The beautiful azure blue of Ijen crater lake is the most beautiful in the early morning. You will then find your way back down to the parking area. In the meantime you will always come across the sulfur runners, who climb and descend Ijen (at least 2x a day) with baskets full of sulfur (between 40 - 60kilo) on their shoulders. Back in the car you drive to Bali after a short break.
