Papandayan can be visited in two ways.
1. At sunrise, departure at 2.00 am from Meeting Point Bandung.
2. The next departure is 6 am from Meeting Point Bandung. Is just as beautiful you only miss that sunrise.
Your car will take you to the car park from Meeting Point. From here it is a walk of about 30min. A visit to Papandayan shows a volcano in 'full glory' with all colors, smells and devastations and all this very close. It is a vast area where you can freely walk around. Yo will see "Hutan Mati" (Dead Forest), and "Padang Edelweiss". You can even swim in the crater lake if you dare too. After enjoying the beauty of Mount Papandayan, we returned to the parking lot to prepare to return to Bandung.
